Points value
Bilt Rewards transfers to World of Hyatt at 1:1 — the same ratio as Chase. The Bilt Travel portal returns 1.25¢ per point ($250 on 20,000 points). A $300 Hyatt night redeemed for 20,000 Hyatt points delivers 1.5¢ per point — $50 more than the portal.
Example scenario
Numbers below use the preset inputs — adjust them in the calculator to match your situation.
World of Hyatt wins by $50 (20.0% more value).
Option A — Bilt Travel portal
$250
1.25¢ per point
Option B — World of Hyatt✓ wins
$300
1.50¢ per point
Difference: $50 more by choosing World of Hyatt.
The Bilt Travel portal (1.25¢) wins when Hyatt award space is unavailable, when the cash price of your target hotel is modest (under $250 for 20k points), or when you prefer guaranteed booking without a points-transfer step.
The Hyatt transfer wins on any night priced above $250 in cash for 20,000 points. Category 4–7 properties and premium brands (Andaz, Park Hyatt, Alila) frequently yield 2–3¢ per Bilt point — well above the portal ceiling.
Bilt does not publish its portal rate officially; 1.25¢ is an industry-consensus figure (TPG, AwardWallet) and should be re-verified. Bilt points require at least 5 transactions per month to earn — verify you've met that threshold before planning a large redemption.
