“Magna Pars L’Hotel à Parfum is a 60-suite boutique property in Milan’s Tortona/Navigli design district, converted from the Martone family’s former perfume factory into what it describes as the world’s first hotel à parfum.”
The hotel occupies a quiet street in the Tortona area, part of Milan’s broader Navigli and design district, with easy metro access and proximity to landmarks such as Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Navigli canals. It retains a modern architectural character from its factory origins, featuring polished wood floors and contemporary furnishings that create a residential, boutique atmosphere. All 60 accommodations are suites, each individually themed around specific fragrances or plants including jasmine, magnolia, sandalwood, and patchouli. Many include thoughtful details such as small private libraries, premium bedding, courtyard views, and branded bathroom amenities. Wellness facilities comprise a gym, spa area, Turkish bath/hammam, steam room, massage services, and Ayurvedic treatments. Dining centers on the fine-dining restaurant Da Noi In, which serves Italian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with light fare and al fresco options; breakfast is also offered in an internal garden planted with fragrant species.
Milan’s shoulder seasons offer fewer crowds and lower prices, with milder weather than the hotter, busier summer period.
July and August are peak-travel months with higher prices and crowds, and climate sources describe them as the hottest part of the year in northern Italy/Milan.
