“DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid Principe de Vergara is a planned late-2026 conversion in Madrid’s upscale Salamanca district. Announced features include 155 rooms, a restaurant, bar, fitness centre and 14 meeting rooms, with detailed room layouts and dining concepts still to come.”
DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid Principe de Vergara is a planned late-2026 Hilton opening in Madrid’s Salamanca district, converted from the existing NH Madrid Príncipe de Vergara. The hotel will sit at Calle del Príncipe de Vergara 92, placing guests in one of Madrid’s most affluent residential and shopping neighborhoods. The announced facilities point to an urban, business-friendly DoubleTree: 155 guest rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a fitness centre and 14 meeting rooms. Hilton has confirmed a mix of king, queen, twin, single rooms and suites, though exact room sizes, views and suite layouts have not yet been released. The location is the property’s clearest strength. From the Príncipe de Vergara corridor, guests are within a short drive or metro ride of Madrid highlights including the Prado Museum, Retiro Park, Plaza de Cibeles, Gran Vía, Las Ventas and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium; Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is about a 15-minute drive away. As a DoubleTree, the hotel is expected to follow brand standards including the warm cookie welcome at check-in and Hilton Honors participation. Travelers should treat all pre-opening details as provisional until Hilton publishes the final hotel fact sheet and booking pages.
An announced room category with one king bed, suited to solo travelers or couples who want a standard DoubleTree room type in Salamanca. Hilton has not yet published size, view or layout details for this category.
An announced room category with one queen bed. This will be one of the standard bedding options when the converted hotel opens.
An announced room category with two separate beds, useful for friends, colleagues or family members sharing a room. Specific square footage and views have not yet been disclosed.
An announced single-bed room category for solo guests. Hilton has confirmed single rooms in the accommodation mix, but has not yet released the exact footprint or in-room design details.
Suites are included in the announced room mix, but Hilton has not yet confirmed suite names, sizes or layouts. Travelers should wait for the final hotel fact sheet for details on seating areas, bathrooms and views.
March to May and September to October offer mild temperatures around 15–24°C/60–75°F and relatively low rainfall, ideal for sightseeing and often cheaper than peak summer.
July and August should be avoided because average highs frequently exceed 32–35°C (90–95°F), with heatwaves over 40°C/104°F, making sightseeing uncomfortable; this peak-summer period also brings higher prices and heavier crowds.
Co-brand cards earn Hilton Honors points directly; the rest move points in from bank programs at the ratios and transfer times shown. Award pricing itself lives with the official Hilton Honors tools above.
