“AC Hotel Recoletos is a 63-room design-driven property in a renovated 19th-century neoclassical building located at Calle Recoletos 18 in Madrid’s Salamanca Quarter, a short walk from Retiro Park, Puerta de Alcalá, and the Prado Museum.”
The hotel occupies a historic neoclassical façade between Calle Serrano and Paseo de Recoletos, with contemporary minimalist interiors throughout its 63 rooms. Standard rooms feature individually controlled air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, work desks, safes, and modern bathrooms in a sleek neutral palette. A single suite completes the room inventory. Public spaces include a bar-lounge serving light meals and drinks, a garden, and a fitness center. There is no pool or spa. The property also offers one 42 m² meeting room, on-site parking for a fee, and standard business services such as a business center and laundry. Its central yet relatively quiet Salamanca location provides walkable access to Retiro Park, the Art Triangle museums, Plaza de Cibeles, and Gran Vía, with nearby metro and commuter-rail connections including Recoletos station.
March to May and September to October offer mild temperatures around 15–24°C/60–75°F and relatively low rainfall, ideal for sightseeing and often cheaper than peak summer.
July and August should be avoided because average highs frequently exceed 32–35°C (90–95°F), with heatwaves over 40°C/104°F, making sightseeing uncomfortable; this peak-summer period also brings higher prices and heavier crowds.
