The hotel sits at 15 Rue de la Grande Chaumière in a historic 19th-century building on the border of Montparnasse and Saint-Germain-des-Prés. It stands directly opposite the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and references the Belle Époque artistic heritage of the neighborhood, including Modigliani’s former studio on the same street. Guests benefit from a five-minute walk to the Jardin du Luxembourg, a 10-minute walk to Tour Montparnasse, and less than 10 minutes on foot to Saint-Germain-des-Prés cafés and galleries, plus quick access to Vavin metro station and Port-Royal RER B. Interiors are designed as artist studios with lime-washed cream walls. An art-video lounge screens artist videos, and art supplies are provided in the lobby. The hotel offers an on-site spa for massages and beauty treatments, continental and buffet breakfast with gluten-free options, and a tea room serving Pierre Hermé macarons from 14:30 to 18:00.
When to go.
March–May and September–October offer mild 10–21°C temperatures, long daylight and fewer extremes, while still outside the most expensive high-summer period and suitable for sightseeing.
July and August bring peak crowds, price spikes and frequent heat waves with daytime temperatures in the 80s°F (upper 20s–30°C), while late December is high season with elevated rates around Christmas and New Year, making points redemptions poorer value.
