“The Madrid EDITION is a 5-star luxury lifestyle hotel at Plaza de Celenque 2 in Madrid's Sol neighborhood, steps from Puerta del Sol and Kilometre Zero. It offers 200 guest rooms and suites plus resort-style amenities including a rooftop pool and full spa in a central, walkable location.”
Located in a tranquil plaza surrounded by historic buildings just off Puerta del Sol, the property provides easy walking access to Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, Gran Vía, and the Golden Triangle of Art museums. The central downtown setting is near Sol and Opera metro stations, approximately 20–40 minutes from Madrid–Barajas Airport, with valet parking available for a daily fee but no hotel-operated shuttle. The hotel features 177 rooms, 21 suites, and 2 penthouses, many with modern minimalist design and select units offering private terraces. Design is by Ian Schrager, emphasizing stylishly modern décor, high-end finishes, and a residential feel across one-of-a-kind public spaces. Signature amenities include an outdoor rooftop pool with terrace and pool bar, a full spa offering massages and treatments, and a state-of-the-art 24-hour gym. Five distinct food and beverage outlets comprise Oroya restaurant, Punch Room cocktail bar, Lobby Bar, Rooftop and Pool Bar, and additional venues, with 24-hour room service available.
March to May and September to October offer mild temperatures around 15–24°C/60–75°F and relatively low rainfall, ideal for sightseeing and often cheaper than peak summer.
July and August should be avoided because average highs frequently exceed 32–35°C (90–95°F), with heatwaves over 40°C/104°F, making sightseeing uncomfortable; this peak-summer period also brings higher prices and heavier crowds.
